The Man abducted alongside Goodluck Jonathan's Abducted Foster Father found dead

This must be one of the most sad news right about now. Yesterday I reported HERE that Goodluck Jonathan's foster father was abducted for the second time. Now news reaching me has it that the man whom was abducted alongside him, Samuel Okies, has been killed and his body found floating on Othueke river. Our prayers are with his family and also with Jonathan's family as we pray he is rescued unhurt. May the soul of the departed find rest.

Heavily armed policemen storm Psquare's home

Earlier today, February 19, heavily armed policemen from SARS, stormed the Omole phase1, Ikeja, Lagos home of warring singing duo, P square. While the reason for the police presence could not be ascertained, Some people said it was because of the fight between the Okoye brothers. Others claimed a client who had paid the singing duo to perform at an event but was disappointed by them came for a refund of his money.

In a post on his Instagram account, which was subsequently deleted, Pacquiao posted a picture of himself with his wife, and quoted a Bible verse from Leviticus: "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Lagos flags off office of civic engagement

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state on Wednesday, February 17 said the newly created office of civic engagement is open to all Lagosians and will on behalf of the government, listen to the people and ensure their concerns are adequately addressed. Mr Ambode who was represented by his deputy, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule at the flag off ceremony of the OCE, stated that “the essence of representative democracy is continual engagement of all stakeholders in the society.”

Senator Chris Ngige Denies Collapse Reports

Daily Post reported that the minister collapsed while defending his ministry’s budget before the House of Representatives’ Committee on labour. Sources disclose that he was immediately rushed to a hospital. However, a couple of hours after the numerous publications Senator Chris Ngige has denied earlier reports that he collapsed during National Assembly budget defence. Speaking with The Nation correspondent aboard an aircraft from South Africa, on February 18, he described the report as rumour aimed at damaging his strength and personality.

Pastor stabs wife to death in Edo State

A Pastor identified as Henry Ojochunu Ekukpe is wanted for  allegedly stabbed his 29 year old wife to death in the presence of their six year-old baby, leaving a note containing ten questions he expected his late wife to answer.

 It was learnt that Henry who got married to Patience in 2014 has been having issues that forced the deceased out of his house months ago. The run away Pastor is said to Pastor in one of the branches of Mountain of Victory and Fire Deliverance Ministry in Benin City. Vanguard learnt that trouble started last Sunday when the Pastor invited the deceased for a dialogue under the guise that he wants her back to the house.

Police in Lagos have arrested a 47-year-old man, Femi Kolajolu, for allegedly raping and impregnating his 15-year-old niece (names withheld).

He had also attempted to rape his daughter last November.

Vanguard gathered that Femi had allegedly been raping his niece since 2013 and instructed her not to inform anyone, including her mother.

PHOTO: Man killed by friend who ‘slept’ with his wife in Lagos

A 40-year-old man, Lukman Jimoh, aka Oyeolorun, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing his bosom friend, Remi Oloyede, akaOra.

Jimoh reportedly cut off Oloyede’s ears and stabbed him in the neck and eyes during a fight on Monday on Adedoja Street, Mushin.

Residents were said to have stayed away from the duo because they both wielded bottles.

Oloyede died on the spot after losing much blood, while his corpse was deposited in a morgue in the state.

EFCC arrests Diezani's husband Alison Madueke

Mr. Madueke was arrested yesterday  by EFCC agents in Abuja for illegally laundering more than $600,000 through his personal accounts.

According to an EFCC source, “[Mr. Madueke] was arrested yesterday, in the  morning [in Abuja] and released on administrative bail.” The EFCC also seized Mr. Madueke’s passport and placed him under caution.

Of the fraternal twins, a boy and girl, the baby boy has a hole in his heart and an abnormal brain. But as the family learns to lean on their faith and each other, they said their twin babies are doing just the same - holding on to one another.

Ian and Brittani McIntire didn't plan on having any more kids after their first two daughters. Which is why they got an even bigger surprise after finding out they were pregnant again.

"We went in for our six week sonogram and they just said there's one heartbeat and here's another," laughed mom, Brittani.
