PHOTO: Okorocha Sustains Head Injury In Road Accident

The convoy of the Governor of Imo State; Mr Rochas Okorocha has been involved in a head-on collision in Orlu local government area of the state and the governor sustained minor head injuries.

The Governor was on a scheduled inspection tour to some state projects in the area when the accident occurred.

A statement signed by the media aide to the Governor; Ebere Ozoukwa, stated that the Governor’s convoy was involved in the accident in Orlu town in Orlu Local government area of the state.

According to Mr Ozoukwa, “the governor sustained a minor injury which is a minor cut on his head but he is presently in a good and stable condition and has been attended to by medical personnel.”

The Governor can be seen in the picture with a bandage rolled all over his head with some blood stains.

The statement advised the general public especially Imo citizens not to “panic and should go about with their normal duties since the Governor is in a good and stable condition and responding to necessary treatment.”

Afro Hip Hop /Dancehall Artist and also Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) national Ambassador “Olayinka  Lawanson” popularly referred to as Lamboginny has disclosed in an exclusive interview that he could wash his girlfriend’s under wears if its need arises.

The Gbaladun hitmaker in the interview with one of the entertainment magazines was quoted saying:

 ‘I am not part of the African men that can't wash his girlfriend’s or wife's under wear (pant & bra), if you could give your lover or wife a head, then why can’t you wash her pants and bras?" Abeg... majority of us are drycleaners with our mouth already (smiles).

Early last month, the 14-year-old son of Will Smith, Jaden, and the 15-year-old youngest half-sister of Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, had the media bussing about a possible romance when the two were spotted in London together. Though neither of them has officially confirmed the relationship, a recent interview in Britain's Wonderland magazine has the Karate Kid star opening up about his relationship with the reality star.

"I was in L.A., we were all hanging out. Then I went to New York and she came too, and then she came here and surprised me, so that's pretty baller," Smith said. "She's one of my best friends. It's pretty awesome."

Son of Deputy Governor of Sokoto State dies in horrific car accident

Luqman Mukthar Shagari, the second son of the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Mukthar Shagari died yesterday afternoon April 18th in a fatal motor accident.

The 28 year old business man was on his way to Sokoto from his base in Abuja when he lost control of his car. Luqman and his friend Ghaddaffi (pictured above in the passenger sit), died instantly. The one at the back miraculously survived the accident. Luqman's car was burnt beyond recognition.

The second photo was the last photo the friends took in the car before the accident yesterday. Luqman is survived by a wife and a son.

BREAKING NEWS: One suspect in Boston bombing dead, manhunt under way for second man

Police killed one suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing during a shootout and were engaged in a house-to-house search for a second man on Friday in the Boston suburb of Watertown after a bloody night of shooting and explosions in the city's streets.

Authorities warned people in Watertown not to leave their homes and not to answer the door. During the night a university police officer was killed, a transit police officer was wounded, and the suspects’ carjacked a vehicle before leading police on a chase that ended with one suspect shot dead.

Police said the suspect they were seeking was the man shown wearing a white cap in surveillance pictures released on Thursday night which had been taken shortly before Monday's explosions that killed three people and wounded 176 at the finish of the Boston Marathon.

Photo: Woman kills husband, sets his body ablaze

A woman named Esther Peter (pictured above) on Tuesday April 16th allegedly killed her husband, Kenneth Peter Anayo, then set his body on fire at their home at NEPA Phase I Road, Ijagemo, around the Ikotun area of Lagos. Neighbours said the couple was always fighting in public and in fact there was a serious fight between them a few days before the Tuesday incident, where Esther stabbed her husband with a broken bottle and he had to be treated at the hospital. Neighbours said they noticed that Esther and Peter's room was on fire around 2am that Tuesday morning and when they went there to help, they noticed that the room was locked from the outside. They managed to break down the door, and that was when they saw the burnt remains of Kenneth. Esther and her son were nowhere to be found.

Esther was later found around the area with her belongings in a bag trying to escape. Neighbours handed her over to the police from the Isheri-Oshun division, who later came to remove Kenneth's remains. (A LIB reader was there live and took some photos). Esther, who is from Cross River told police that the fire was caused by the candle lit in their room while she went to fetch water but couldn't explain why the door was locked from the outside and why she had all belongings in a bag. Police say they have every reason to believe Kenneth was killed being burnt.

Lilian Akiyesi's camp responds to the Ezinne story

     I am very close friends with Lilian's family and have decided to respond to this shocking and unfair accusation. Lilian met Solomon as a little and naïve girl in 2001. There was no one married to Solomon as at then. Down the line, Solomon got married to Ezinne who said she was pregnant as at then. Lilian moved on with her life. Years later, Solomon and his family came to ask for Lilian's hand in marriage claiming that their son was deceived into marriage as Ezinne was never pregnant and was infact confirmed in the hospital to have damaged her womb a long time ago. On investigation, Solomon's family said all rites have been retrieved and dissolved of the marriage which was based on deceit.

    After some time, Lilian and Solomon got married. Ezinne has never called Lilian for a warning or otherwise. Never! But rather Lilian put a call to her when she suddenly heard Ezinne was claiming to still be married to Solomon. On that shock, Lilian had her lawyer call Ezinne...who asked Ezinne to come up with a certificate or evidence to show they have not been divorced so that Lilian can move on with her life. But Ezinne refused to show up, even after several calls. Today out of nowhere, she comes out to give a wrong picture of Lilian. Where was she all this while? What sort of woman will sit back and watch her husband wed someone else without doing anything about it...if truly her hands are clean? Lilian wouldn't be that stupid to go as far as she did on saturday, had she any reason to believe he was married to someone else asides her. Lilian married Solomon as a very young and sincere girl, never out of desperation. I think the damage is enough already. It's obvious the intention is just to bring Lilian down.
