COPS think that the athlete could have killed his girlfriend in a rage brought on by the use of steroids after uncovering boxes of the drugs at the home of the murder suspect.
POLICE are probing the
theory that Blade Runner Oscar Pistorius killed his girlfriend in a rage
brought on by the use of steroids.
The move came after officers
found boxes of the drugs at the home of the murder suspect. The haul is said to
include capsules, ampoules and syringes.
The steroids are now being
examined at a police lab.
Pistorius, who has never
tested positive for any banned substance, has allegedly told police he was
storing them for a friend in his home in Pretoria, South Africa. His blood and
urine samples are being tested for steroids.
More details of Reeva
Steenkamp’s Valentine’s Day killing emerged yesterday on the eve of Pistorius’s
next court appearance. Police are said to have found blood on the bedroom,
bathroom and stairway, where Pistorius carried Reeva downstairs.
Four bullet holes were found
in the bathroom door.
It is believed Reeva, 29,
who will be buried today, was shot in the head, arm, pelvis and her hand.
Pistorius, 26, denies the
charge of her murder.
