THUMBS DOWN TO THE INTRUDING PAPARAZZI!

Ever since this duo said their "I dos", the world has not fully rested as they keep close watch on the Duke and Duchess.

The first was some supposed inappropriate picture of the duchess, whilst in school and was a run-way model.

Then the talks moved on to her rapid weight loss and the world felt sorry for her as they reiterated she is bearing more than she can handle.

Then the watchful eyes moved on to her younger sister, who was her maid of honour and lady-in-waiting, Pipa.

The world could not get enough of the "Royal service" until Prince Harry gave then some more to talk about, when nude pics of him vacationing with his friends, hit the internet.

Then, the mother of all scandals (the Royal scandal) reared its ugly head, when "Top-less" pictures of the future Queen hit the internet, while she and her hubby where on vaca on a private home in France, surrounded by a park several hundred meters from a public road.

No thanks to the paparazzi who stalks their every move, even in a country other than their home country. We all know how controversy sells, and the publishers of  CLOSER magazine, a French magazine wasted no time in making tens of thousands of prints plus cash.

But it's conspicuous the Queen herself is not finding this hilarious as she has moved really fast on this. The fast legal intervention, which developed within hours of the publication of the photos in a French gossip magazine, represents a break from Queen Elizabeth II’s traditional policy of using legal action only as a means of last resort.
A French court ruled in favor of the royal couple on Tuesday in their fight over the photos, but the scope of that ruling will be limited.
The unauthorized topless photos of Kate have already been widely published in France, Italy, Ireland and on the Internet — lessening the impact of the court's injunction against future publication inside France.
The royals’ strong stance also included a bid to persuade French prosecutors to launch a criminal inquiry to target the offending photographer.
The wealthy royal couple did not gain much on paper — the court-imposed fine was about $2,500 — but legal experts and royal watchers say the action was designed to demonstrate their willingness to use all legal means to prevent future press intrusion. That will become even more important when the couple have a child, who would become third in the line of succession to the British throne.

It also reflects Williams’s determination not to let the press harass Kate as it did his late mother, Princess Diana, which was believed led to her death.

And this explains how much of a nuisance the paparazzi can be.

CLOSER, the publisher of the magazine with the nude pics as its contents, has been ordered to turn over all of its digital copies of the photos, but that has little meaning in a world where millions of copies can be made and distributed in the blink of an eye. The revealing pictures will follow Middleton for the rest of her life.......very sad. Clearly, the harm has been done.

The French magazine branch of Mondadori, Closer's publisher faces a daily fine of (euro) 10,000 ($13,100) if it fails to hand over all digital copies of the topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge and continues to publish the pictures, including on its website and its tablet app- as well as re-selling them.

Yes, they may clink their glasses in Victory.........but the stigma will forever be.

The royal couple is also filing a criminal complaint against the unnamed paparazzo who took the picture.

The feat which is described as a “brutal display” of Williams' and Kate’s private moments, will surely but sadly go down memory lane and remain in the mind's eyes' of the world.
