One of the five goats
arrested in Osun State by officials of the Osun State Waste Management Agency,
OWMA, for allegedly violating environmental laws in the state, has died.
At the court hearing
on Tuesday, the Judge of a Magistrate Court in the state, Mrs. A. O. Ajanaku,
discharged Mrs Adedoyin Adetayo, whose goat had died in OWMA’s custody, but was
warned to strictly comply with the provisions of the state environmental laws
and the rules of OWMA.
At the hearing on
Tuesday, the goats were not allowed inside the courtroom but were left in the
court premises while their owners stood trials.
The court then
ordered the other goat owners to pay the sum of N2,500 into the coffers of the
state government.
