and Jackson 5 member opts for 'brighter' name for professional reasons
Jermaine Jackson has added
new shine to his notable name.
A Los Angeles judge approved
on Friday a petition by the Jackson Five singer to change his world-famous
surname to Jacksun.
"To him, it's no big
deal. It's for artistic reasons. It's changing one letter to put in something
bright and positive," pal Steve Dennis previously told the Daily News.
"Phonetically, it's
still the same," Dennis said. "I don't think he'll be changing it as
often as (Sean) P. Diddy (Combs)."
