TEACHER FLOGS 12 YEAR-OLD STUDENT TO DEATH IN ANAMBRA STATE!

A 12 year old student named miss Chidinma Ukachukwu has been flogged to death. This we heard happened in a school in Awka Anambra state. She was allegedly flogged by her teaching for failing to write her assignment.

A reliable source said the young girl died on Thursday after being flogged by her teacher. The source said she at first fainted after being flogged severely by a female teacher of the school and was subsequently rushed to an undisclosed hospital where she finally gave up the ghost.

After the incident, it was gathered that the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Uju Okeke ordered the outright closure of the school. 

The girl’s family who was visited by a News Agency, according to the Agency, was in grief and had just laid the girl to rest on Tuesday in Awka.

The deceased father Mr Simeon Ukachukwu confirmed the incident expressing that it was a sad development but an act of God.

When Mrs Okeke the Education commissioner was contacted, she denied any closure of the school, claiming the school was observing its mid-term break. But contrary to her claims, it was revealed that the school was not on mid-term break until nextweek. This was confirmed by an official of the Nigerian Union of Teachers in Awka South Local Government area.

When contacted, the Public Relations officer of the state police command, Mr Ralph Uzoigwe said the case had not been reported to the police,  but promised it would be investigated.
