The singer stepped out in
Beverly Hills, California, on Friday wearing an all denim look for a long day
of shopping. While it was unlikely anyone would not recognize the superstar,
Rihanna was clearly trying to have a Pretty Woman moment, wearing a ripped
denim skirt as if in an attempt to look like she did not belong in the
expensive stores of the famed Rodeo Drive.
For her shopping day, the
Rude Boy singer wore a chambray shirt with rolled up sleeves that perfectly
matched her high-waisted pencil skirt. Her very late Nineties-style skirt was
extremely distressed, ripped all the way along its hem and it also had a number
of holes in both the front and the back. One of the rips exposed the star's
shapely bottom and gave those walking behind her a glimpse of her thong, but in
true RiRi-style she strode with her head held up high happy to look
controversial.
Her new love for denim is so
strong that she even managed to find a snake skin wrap clutch that had been
dyed the colour of jeans. While she may have missed her mark with her clothing,
the Barbadian beauty did perfectly blend street fashion and high fashion in her
accessorizing.
The 25-year-old donned a
leather baseball cap with nude pointed pumps and two pearl Chanel brooches on
her denim shirt. She also added a clear Chanel cuff and a leather and pearl
bracelet by the same designer.
The singer also added a
splash of colour thanks her ombre locks - that are currently more red than
black - which she wore in a curly pony tail. The star has had a fun few days as
shopping aside, on Thursday night she celebrated her mother's birthday throwing
her a big party.
Posting a picture of her
mother Monica Braithwaite Rihanna said: 'She's my rock so I hold on to she
tight!!!'
