The resignation of the Akwa Ibom's deputy Governor came as a rude shock to everyone. Most people didn't see it coming. Well as it is, his seat can not be vacant forever. And so a female Barrister was sworn in. First in the 25-year history of the state, to have a female deputy Governor.
Barrister Valerie Ebe was, two days ago sworn in as the first female Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom state.
Barrister Valerie Ebe was sworn in three days after the resignation of former Deputy Governor, Nsima Ekere, who resigned because of his alleged "Act of disloyalty to the Governor"
